Privacy policy & affiliate disclosure

What data this site collects, why, and how to get rid of it. Plus a plain-English disclosure of every commercial relationship behind the links on this site.

Last updated: 16 August 2026

1. Who we are

This site is published from Belgium and is not currently operated as a registered business. It sells nothing, runs no advertising, and earns no commission on any link it publishes. For anything in this policy, contact info@dropshipschool.com — that address is monitored and is the fastest route to a human.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the operator of this site is the data controller for the limited personal data described below. If this site is ever run commercially, full registration details will be published here before that happens.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, because our processing does not meet the Article 37 threshold. If that changes, this section changes with it.

2. What we collect

We run an information site. There are no accounts, no logins and no shopping cart, so the data we hold is limited:

  • No analytics at all. This site runs no analytics script. Not Google Analytics, not a cookie-free alternative, nothing. We do not know how many people read any page, which is a real cost to us and zero cost to you.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records IP addresses and request timestamps for security and abuse prevention, typically for 14–30 days.
  • Anything you send us. If you email us, we hold that email and your address until the conversation is finished and for a reasonable period afterwards.
  • Local browser storage. The roadmap checklist saves your progress in your own browser using localStorage. That data never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data deletes it.

We do not collect names, payment details, health data or any special category data. We do not sell data to anyone, and we do not run advertising networks on this site.

  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): server logs, so the site stays online and abuse can be traced. This is the only ongoing processing we carry out.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): any non-essential cookie, if and when we set one. If we introduce cookie-based analytics or advertising, a consent banner appears first and nothing loads until you choose.
  • Contract / pre-contract steps (Art. 6(1)(b)): correspondence you initiate.

4. Cookies

At the time of writing, this site sets no first-party tracking cookies. If you click an affiliate link, the destination site (for example Shopify) will set its own cookies under its own privacy policy — that is how referral tracking works, and it is out of our control.

If we later add cookie-based analytics or retargeting, this section will list every cookie, its purpose and its lifetime, and a consent mechanism will be added before any such cookie is set.

5. Who else sees your data

  • Hosting provider: Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.), which processes server logs on our behalf.
  • Nobody else. There is no analytics provider, no advertising network, no affiliate network and no email platform. Cloudflare is the only processor.

Where a processor is outside the EEA, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. Ask us and we will tell you exactly which mechanism applies to which provider.

6. How long we keep things

  • Server logs: 14–30 days, then discarded by our host.
  • Email correspondence: up to 24 months after the last message.

7. Your rights

If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased
  • Restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out
  • Lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority

Email info@dropshipschool.com and we will respond within 30 days. Realistically, given how little we hold, most requests are answered the same week.

8. Children

This site is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will delete it.

9. Commercial relationships and affiliate disclosure

There are currently none. No link on this site pays us anything. The outbound links to Shopify, BigCommerce, DSers, CJdropshipping and the rest are ordinary links, carrying no tracking code and no referral tag. Nothing on this site is sponsored and no vendor has reviewed, approved or paid for a word of it.

That may change. If this site ever earns commission on a link, three things happen before a single paid link goes live: this section is rewritten to name every relationship, each paid link is marked with rel="sponsored", and the operator's full registration details appear in section 1. Commission would never change what we write — the platform page already states plainly where Shopify costs you more than it should and where a paid supplier tool is not worth its subscription.

Prices, plans and fees change without notice. Figures on this site were verified inAugust 2026. Always check the vendor's own pricing page before you buy.

10. Changes to this policy

We update this page when our processing changes. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes are noted at the top of the page for 30 days.

11. Contact

Email info@dropshipschool.com. That covers privacy requests, corrections to a price on this site, and anything else — we would rather fix a number than defend it.
